last 5 posts? I think you have’t configured the plugin from its settings. You can set the number of posts to be displayed on the slider. Check my website I am using this plugin and it is showing 10 posts without any issues!

Go and configure it from dashboard>Settings>recent-post-slider and it will start working as per your wish.
