Worth Upgrading?

Since I cannot try the simple slider options without upgrading, I want to know if it will fulfill my requirements in advance.
I want to have a full width video carousel on my home page only (I can use CSS to change this if required) to automatically display locally sourced MP4 files.
The video also needs to display on mobiles so it should be responsive.
I currently have captions embedded in the video but I would like captions to be superimposed on each video clip, so they reszie when viewed on mobile.
I don’t want any controls or previews to be visible.
Is it worth upgrading?
