To add an extra textarea to the post submission page?

I want another text input area (to be called ‘Intro text’ similar to the extract input box only above the main textarea.

This box would be used to type a 50 word intro which I can then display on the main front page of the blog.

I know I can use the ‘read more’ tag for the same thing but I want a separate box rather than all the text in the same ‘main’ box.

    can this plugin do that?

    thanks

    Hi

If you’re talking about frontend post submission, then it’s impossible at the moment. We’re working on that and will release an update for it soon.

However, if you just need to add a text input in the backend, when you create a new post or edit an existing post, then this plugin is the right tool for you. It’s made for the exact purpose!

That’s exactly what I want it for. To add an extra text (intro) box to the post submit & edit pages on the backend.

    thanks for the quick reply.
I shall be downloading and giving it a try.

    Thanks again 🙂
