WP 3.0 upgrade: Can’t categorize posts

Just completed upgrade to 3.0.
Issue now: WP won’t save categories for a post. I select a few, and it keeps reverting back to default (uncategorized), even after clicking update. This is true for existing and new posts. It worked fine before.
