I tried it and everything looks good but it doesn’t show the categories in the category section of the Library.

Well, I made a test and it worked for me.
In my case, if I activate the plugin then WP 3.5 stops generating the registered image sizes for the newly uploaded images.

I don’t have this problem. You should test with default theme and only FG plugin activated…
Using the Weaver II Pro theme, wp3.5 — same problem as Tibet. I like this plug-in, but not enough to abandon the work I’ve invested in a Weaver site.
