• Hi,
when going to mysite/wp-admin I only get a blank page with this url string:
    http://mysite.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fmysite.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

and “oops!this link appears to be broken” showing on the screen.

I tried disabling plugins and themes, but nothing changes. I keep getting the “oops!…” message or a page showing my site theme as background with headers and sidebars and saying “Sorry The Page/Post You Are Looking For Could Not Be Found”.

This site has been up for some time and did not have login problems before. The site is otherwise working fine and loading ok, I just cannot get into my wp dashboard.

    Many thanks for any help.

Try manually resetting your plugins (no Dashboard access required). If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, access your server via FTP or SFTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

hi, thanks for your reply. I did what you said but no success. Disabling them gets me the “oops this link appears broken” message. Disabling the plugins gets me “sorry page not found” message.
    What else can I do?

Try downloading WordPress again and delete then replace your copies of everything except the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory with fresh copies from the download. This will effectively replace all of your core files without damaging your content and settings. Some uploaders tend to be unreliable when overwriting files, so don’t forget to delete the original files before replacing them.
