../wp-admin/plugins.php page goes blank

    As soon as the plugin is activated, the entire listing of plugins disappears from the ../wp-admin/plugins.php page – as if there are NO plugins.

    When we go to the Add Plugin page – it displays as active as do any other active plugin we have, any deactivated are showing as installed.

    When we remove the admin-menu-editor folder, everything returns to normal.

    Something is blocking the coding that drives the installed plugins to display properly.

    Wordpress 5.7.2
    Nginx 1.20.1
    MySQL 14.14 Distrib 5.7.34, for Linux (x86_64)

    A blank page often means that there was a fatal PHP error. Please check the server’s PHP error log for recent fatal errors.

    If the page is not completely blank and it just says there are 0 plugins installed, that might be something else.

    Take a look at the “Plugins” tab in AME settings. Could it be that all plugins are unchecked there for some reason? If you don’t need the ability to hide plugins, you can just disable that feature entirely by disabling the “Plugins” module in the “Settings” tab.
