• As far as I know, no updates or changes were made to the website since a week ago.

    Yesterday, when I went to https://www.safedrybasement.com/wp-admin, it redirected me to some other website https://connectus.ch/wp-admin/setup-config.php. It also gave me a message about the database being corrupted and told me to add a line of debugging code in the wp-config.php (sorry, forgot to take screenshot). I did so, and clicked “repair database”, but nothing happened from that. I ended up restoring the public_html to an autosave from earlier, and that fixed the issue.

    However, a similar issue happened today, when it gave me this error: https://ibb.co/Bq8xhVJ

    Not sure if this would help, but here is the only error in the error_log:
    [10-Aug-2020 20:52:03 UTC] WordPress database error Table 'safedryb_bwc.wp_wpsmtp_logs' doesn't exist for query SHOW FULL COLUMNS FROMwp_wpsmtp_logs` made by require(‘wp-blog-header.php’), wp, WP->main, WP->parse_request, do_action_ref_array(‘parse_request’), WP_Hook->do_action, WP_Hook->apply_filters, rest_api_loaded, WP_REST_Server->serve_request, WP_REST_Server->dispatch, wpcf7_rest_create_feedback, WPCF7_ContactForm->submit, WPCF7_Submission::get_instance, WPCF7_Submission->proceed, WPCF7_Submission->mail, WPCF7_Mail::send, WPCF7_Mail->compose, wp_mail, apply_filters(‘wp_mail’), WP_Hook->apply_filters, WPSMTP\Process->log_mails, WPSMTP\Db->insert

    If you have a backup of the database from before the issue, restore it.

    If not, ask your hosting provider if they have a good backup of your site. If they do, ask them to restore it.

    @t-p Are you referring to the date before that error in the error log occurred or before the site went down?

    I restored it to a date (August 11th) before the site went down, which is why the site is up now, but the error first appeared on August 5th.

    So I guess what I’m asking is, is that error in the error log the reason the site went down?
