I recently signed up with bluehost for a self-hosted site. I installed wordpress. I received the notice that it was successful. It gave me an admin URL. When I go that url it redirects me to wordpress.com instead of the /wp-admin page.

Did I do something wrong? I’m just not sure how to get to my admin page now.

What’s the domain name? If you are using a custom domain name you used on WordPress.COM, did you change the name servers for it?

the domain is modernbellelifestyle.com.

I did not change the name servers. I just did a look up to see how to do that. I bought the domain when I registered my wordpress.com website. Sadly I know very little the backend of websites – I’m obviously going to have to learn.

I’m about to call the company that it says is my registrar to see if they can point me in the right direction.

You need to change those on your WordPress.COM dashboard – see this:
