wp-admin stops working on activation

    Hi!

    When I activate the plugin, instead of automatically going to the plugin settings page I get a too many redirects error and the page doesn’t load. This then happens for all pages in the admin area making wordpress unusable.

    Frontend is still live however I need to manually disable plugin via ftp to get use of wp-admin area.

    Has anyone experienced this issue or has a fix I can use to resolve this?

    Resolved by activating plugin on staging site then migrating to live. Unsure of the exact issue but have managed to resolve for my own particluar case.

    That is very unusual. When you say WP Admin stopped working, does it shows critical error or Error 500 – as that would denote PHP fatal error and in that case in PHP error log you will be able to see exactly what caused the error.

    It would be great if you can share the details from the PHP error log.

    I got the same problem (twice!). I had to reinstall WordPress because of this on my host. Below are the details. Let me know if you need more details.
