Hello, a website of mine is undergoing several issues that began during a failed wordpress core update. Their update failed, and as a result several errors came about when the WP-debug was turned on.

Below is a list of site symptoms as a result of errors listed below in my WP-debug.

    • Unable to update plugins and software thru WP-Admin and in dashboard. Click on update and goes to a empty page – http://lithuanianresearch.org/update_plugins.png
    • Unable to add new posts & pages – goes to white screen of death
    • Cannot view some pages and post name links – goes to white screen of death
    • Site footer display error – all 4 widgets in use but only 3 appear, and not aligned
    • Their web hosting is Yahoo, and they won’t bother to look into these errors for us. I attempted restoring and installing new wordpress files to complete the failed upgrade. Those did nothing to fix the problems. I also deactivated and reinstalled all plugins, also did not fix. I also changed themes, did not fix. I installed the latest WordPress version core files, also did not fix.

      Below are the errors:

Notice: register_sidebar was called incorrectly. No id was set in the arguments array for the “” sidebar. Defaulting to “”. Manually set the id to “” to silence this notice and keep existing sidebar content. Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. • the same issue happened to my website gadgetspath.com. Deactivate all the plugins, update wordpress, start updating/activating plugins one by one… this will resolve or atleast will show you which plugin is causing issue
