WP Author’s cannot edit or create new Entry

    Not sure if it’s the latest version but one of my customer’s now cannot edit any custom post types or create new ones.

    They have AUTHOR rights.

    As ADMIN I can edit or create any custom post types entries.

    Is there a way to see who is the author or maybe use wp-cli to change a setting for this?
