Hey Chris!
No problem, we’re glad you like the plugin! It’s our goal to make this plugin useful and we’re definitely open to any feature requests so we appreciate you reaching out!
We’re experimenting with some new ways of navigation. The latest idea is to add a drop-down box that allows you to select which book of the Bible you’d like to read, from there it will give you a list of links for each chapter. Does this sound like a good layout to you? (Just a side note: This should help increase loading time as well because we’d only be loading each chapter as needed)
The search feature is a great idea! I’m sure many people would find such a feature helpful.
We’ll work to get these features released in the next update which should be expected in the next couple of weeks. Thanks for the feedback!
Aidan Casey
Hi Aidan,
It’s great that we are on the same page with regard to the features. Moreover, the drop-drop box seems to be a good idea. The search feature will surely complement the plugin to a great extent. It can include keyword, passage, or topic search. May be you can start with verse search (example, John 1:1) and then keep including the other features.
Also, with regard to the design, if the books are separated into Old and New testaments (arranged side-by-side) I think it would be an added advantage for users (instead of one single drop-down box).
Thanks for the reply. Will get back to you if I have any suggestions.
Regards,
Chris Immanuel
Chris,
Currently we’re seperating the Old and New testament drop-down options by putting them in groups. You can see an example by clicking here. Does this seem like a suitable solution?
Please do! We appreciate any feedback you give us.
Development is currently on track and we still expect to see an update roll out around next week. If you’re interested in installing a preview of the next update on your website, let me know and we can get you hooked up with that.
Thanks!
Aidan Casey
Hi Aidan,
I think if the Old Testament and New Testament have separate drop downs it will make them user-friendly.
Sure, I would like to install a preview of the next update on my website.
Moreover, if you can make the drop-down menus colorful, it would be great. For example, you can check out this link. https://creativevip.net/img/resources/large/drop-down-menu.jpg

Chris,
I can’t promise the separate drop downs will be seen in the next update, we’re currently talking about how to work that into our plugin’s frontend design but we will be seeing what we can do to implement that in the future.
Sounds good. Feel free to send a request through our contact form and we’ll email you some instructions on how to install the latest preview.
Good thinking! We could probably implement that with an admin menu that allows user to customize the colors. Due to how extensive this next update is, that feature probably won’t be rolled out with this coming version but look forward to that for the future.
Thanks again!
Aidan Casey

Hi Aidan,
When can we install the latest preview? Please send me the details.
Regards,
Chris Immanuel
Chris,
Thanks for your preview request, I apologize it took us so long to respond. I’ve sent you an email with instructions on how to install the WP-Bible Embed preview, please let us know if you run into any troubles along the way.
Thanks!
Aidan Casey
Hi Aidan,
The Plugin has installed and is working now. You can check out the page where I have installed the shortcode at http://www.todayscriptures.com/the-bible-king-james-version/
Please note that the chapter drop-down is not working.

Hi Aidan,
It’s been a long time. How is everything going? How is the progress on the plugin? Update me when you have the time.
