    After double checking that the last lines of index.php read:
    /** Loads the WordPress Environment and Template */
    require (‘./wordpress/wp-blog-header.php’ ) and that the wp-blog-header.php is there; I have twice resolved this issue by re-installing WordPress from the Updates page. Just thought it might help somebody.
