I’m aware there is a CLI command for optimizing the media library.

However are there any others? It would be particularly helpful if there was a way to delete originals from the CLI. It goes SOoooo slow, and i lose authentication half way through (200,000 images).

Similary it’s be nice if I could tell the optimize to optimize a specific folder, like /2021/ instead of waiting for it to methodically and slowly go through already optimized files again.

    Hi John,
We only have the one command for WP-CLI at the moment, but that’s a good suggestion for another one. If you’d like to see it considered for a future release, please post it at https://feedback.ewww.io

For optimizing a single folder, it would be a little tricky, but should be possible via the Folders to Ignore setting on the Advanced tab available in Ludicrous mode. If you add all the year folders except 2021, it would skip over all those. Now, note that it will still “scan” them, but it won’t have to do as many db queries and that should speed things up a bit there.
