wp-cli update fails

    Trying to update wp-cli to latest version and getting this SSL error:

    [web@syn03be ~]$ wp cli update
    You have version 2.4.0. Would you like to update to 2.11.0? [y/n] y
    Downloading from https://github.com/wp-cli/wp-cli/releases/download/v2.11.0/wp-cli-2.11.0.phar...
    Error: Failed to get url 'https://github.com/wp-cli/wp-cli/releases/download/v2.11.0/wp-cli-2.11.0.phar': cURL error 60: SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate.
