WP Cloudflair super cache stopped working

    Hey, I used this plugin to optimize my performance and got it to work at some point (the test cache function gave me an ok) but after starting working on this website again I saw that it no longer works even do I didn’t change anything except some updates of some plugins and wordpress, I also checked it manually and couldn’t find any evidence otherwise that it runs over cloudflair.
    I use the Cloudflare nameserver for dns but don’t proxy them and don’t really use any other cache system so that they don’t conflict with each other

    – That’s the problem. Until you proxy your records via Cloudflare (i.e. enable the orange cloud in the CF DNS), cloudflare can’t process any of your site request and provide caching/CDN to your site. You must need to enable proxy.

    Looked at the response header of your site (https://i.imgur.com/Z95vWQ6.png) and all looks good. As soon as you start proxying your main records via Cloudflare, things will start working.

    Hey, thanks for the answer, it’S my first time working with DNS so I’m still a bit unsure how the different services work together. My only problem is that when I switch all the records to proxy the MX and the other two show that my Ip is exposed also the mail stop connecting to the server, do you perhaps know what records are missing that this happens?

    You only need to proxy your main domain and www one. See: https://i.imgur.com/08vHkTQ.png

    I tried that configuration before but it shows that my ip is still exposed but I guess can’t have both things so I rather take the cache function

    With the configurations I have mentioned above, all cloudflare features should work on your site but at the same time your FTP and emails would also work as they request your IP to be exposed and not proxied.

    I tried the configuration but it still refuses to connect to the smtp server for the mail service even when I only proxy www and lsm.lu

    What you are enter as the smtp server? Just the domain name or mail.domain.com?

    I see that comment made a lot of sense when I want to use the proxy I have to use mail.lsm.lu not directly the domain itself, I didn’t think that the mail client could just have been the problem all along. I tried a bit and when using mail.lsm.lu I can send mails just receiving doesn’t work for now but I’m looking at that problem right now. Thanks for helping me with a problem that’s not directly related to your plugin 🙂
