    Could you please check your text editor encoding settings? make sure you are opening this file in UTF-8 encoding, not in UTF-16 or any other one.

    I’m glad it helped!

    For the best security practice -as your file contents is now publicly exposed- I recommend taking a back-up of that file, then delete it and the plugin will auto generate another copy for you, make sure to go to (Wordfence > Firewall => Firewall Status) and choose “Enabled and Protecting” then hit “Save” button.
