Cron is a system process managed by the hosting provider.
I would advise you to reach to your hosting provider and see if they allow/support the Cron jobs on the hosting plan you are using at the moment for your website.
Some hosting providers do not support Cron jobs out of the box, this can be seen on Managed Hosting plans. In that case, you may want to use alternative WordPress cron (wp-corn) which is described in WordPress Docs:

Got the below mail. I have checked with my host – GoDaddy as well. They are looking into it. Any idea what could have been the issue?

This is indicates a problem with your server’s permissions, resources, or general WordPress setup. If you need support, please contact your website host or post to the main WordPress support forum.
