WP Cron Issue

    “The scheduled event, aiowps_hourly_cron_event, failed to run. Your site still works, but this may indicate that scheduling posts or automated updates may not work as intended.”

    I am getting the above issue under my site health tab. Due to WP_cron not working, few of my plugins are also not auto updating.

    How do i fix this?

    Hi @conrad2507,

    Cron is a system process managed by the hosting provider.

    I would advise you to reach to your hosting provider and see if they allow/support the Cron jobs on the hosting plan you are using at the moment for your website.

    Some hosting providers do not support Cron jobs out of the box, this can be seen on Managed Hosting plans. In that case, you may want to use alternative WordPress cron (wp-corn) which is described in WordPress Docs:

    Got the below mail. I have checked with my host – GoDaddy as well. They are looking into it. Any idea what could have been the issue?

    While trying to spawn a call to the WP-Cron system, the following error occurred:
    Unexpected HTTP response code: 429
    This is indicates a problem with your server’s permissions, resources, or general WordPress setup. If you need support, please contact your website host or post to the main WordPress support forum.
    This message has been sent from https://www.cybermak.net by the WP-Cron Status Checker plugin. You can change the email address in your WordPress admin section under Settings -> WP Cron Status. Only one email will be mailed every 24 hours.
