WP GDPR Compliance plugin blocking Mailchimp subscriptions

    In the site I’m developing are a couple of forms created with Gravity Forms. One of the benefits of Gravity Forms is the Mailchimp add-on. Of course (due to the new regulations) must the visitor check the box manually. It is unchecked by default. When the WP GDPR Comliance plugin is active and the use of Gravity Forms is enabled the visitor is not added to the Mailchimp list even when the checkbox is ticked.

    I had to remove the plugin, create the GF form fields (for consent) manually and re-install the plugin for the use in WooCommerce and the Comments. A glitch?

    Hmm. Might be. Thanks for reporting the possible bug. I’ll check it out as soon as possible. You’re using the official MailChimp addon of Gravity Forms, right?

    Hi Donny, thanks for replying.
    Yes, I’m using the official Mailchimp add-on. The simple work arind is to add a required checkbox to the GF form yourself. So, no harm done. However when it is truly a bug it is possible that other users have the same issue without knowing it.
    Good luck with investigating (and solving) the issue.

    We’re sorry for the late reply, but we can’t seem to find any problems with using Mailchimp in gravityforms with GDPR compliance enabled. Are you using all the latest versions?

    Yes, I am using all the latest versions. As described I did found a work around which is described in my original post and is working perfectly. Because of that I did not have tested it again with the checkbox added by your plugin.
