WP install advice (ip address)

Hello there.

Hopefully somebody can help me with a WP install I’m having trouble with for a client. I have built many WP sites but this is a slightly different setup and I’m missing a trick somewhere along the line.

The client has an existing site @ http://www.example.co.uk
This needs to stay live until the last moment.

I have been supplied hosting details by the client, and the hosts supplied a temporary domain to develop on. They mention that ‘I’ve set you up a new account for the replacement website on one of the new servers, so that when it’s all done it won’t need to be moved as it will all be in the right place already.’
So everything seems to be in the correct place?

The FTP server is 79.170.44.41
and temporary domain: http://79.170.44.90/example.co.uk/

The FTP account works and i’ve configured the WP install as normal but nothing is on the server/domain. When I go to wp-admin/install.php there is nothing there?

Can anybody advice on what I’m doing wrong here? How should I best go about developing the site on this temporary domain and later transfer to go live?
