WP-installation shows Apache startpage (only sometimes!)

    Hi all!
    i get a very strange mistake for my WP installation. i run WP 2.8.5 and sometimes the Apache startpage “Seeing this instead of your webpage” appears. Apache shows nothing in the log files – neither error nor access log. The page starts to disappear simply and then after some time comes on again. i don’t use .htaccess files.
    i am really clueless what this could cause the WP to disappear and reappear. Anyone has a clue?
