@forgedwebllc To confirm, are you not able to get the geolocation_lat and geolocation_long fields populated after the job is submitted?

Have you ensured that you enter your Google Maps API key and it has Geocoding API enabled?

No the geolocation_lat and geolocation_long are not showing up.

I have followed the instructions step by step multiple times. However Google has recently forced many apis and services over to a slightly new interface and I am wondering if the documentation is not up to date as it doesn’t seem to exactly match the current systems.

    Hi @forgedwebllc,

Have you registered a Google Maps API key? It would be entered here:

If you don’t have one yet, you can get one here:

    https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/geocoding/get-api-key

Also, please make sure that geolocation_lat and geolocation_long are populated on your job listings. When you enter a job location and save (or create a new job) it should pull these values from Google, if you’ve got your API key entered. Here’s a screenshot:

Finally, please make sure you’re adding the jobs from the frontend form, where you’re using the [submit_job] shortcode. Several verification steps are not taken when adding a job via the Job Listings > Add New path in wp-admin. When jobs are added via wp-admin, missing geolocation data is a common result.

Let us know if those troubleshooting steps help. If not, we’ll investigate further.
