wp-login cannot recognize my email

    … Can it possibly have a relation to not updating WordPress for a long time?
    Because I haven’t done that for a couple of years.

    Use PHPMYADMIN to verify or reset the email associated with your account. Look in the wp_users table. Also, try logging in with the userid rather than the email.
