    Hi,

    Please need your help.

    I installed WP Mail SMTP plugin but i’m getting the error “There was a problem while sending the test email”

    Versions:
    WordPress: 5.9.2
    WordPress MS: No
    PHP: 7.4.30
    WP Mail SMTP: 3.4.0

    Params:
    Mailer: smtp
    Constants: No
    ErrorInfo: SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/Troubleshooting
    Host: mail.urbanize.com.ph
    Port: 465
    SMTPSecure: ssl
    SMTPAutoTLS: bool(false)
    SMTPAuth: bool(true)

    Server:
    OpenSSL: OpenSSL 1.0.2k 26 Jan 2017

    Debug:
    Email Source: Contact Form 7
    Mailer: Other SMTP

    Hi @ecomspecialist21,

    Thanks for reaching out!

    According to your error log, most probably your server’s Firewall or ModSecurity rules are blocking your SMTP connection requests.

    Could you please get in touch with your hosting support with the full error log and they should be able to assist you accordingly.
