• Due to total lack of interest on the part of the developer, I officially declare this plugin dead. RIP Mingle. You had so much going for you. I pray your creator is well and just busy as hell making money somewhere and is just too busy to post an update or even a message in over a year. One of my clients can’t get her website cuz the guy who made it DIED and nobody knows the password so I’m rebuilding it by copy/paste each page and feature one at a time. Sad that 😛

  • Can you access the db or file manager?
whois the domain name for host details and have them give access.

File manager -> wp-config.php for db access details.

phpmyadmin -> db -> wp-user table -> then ether of these options

option 1: take over existing admin account
generally the first user is one you want. confirm it has user status of 0.
update user_email address to yours and clear user_pass. now go to the wp-login page and hit “forgot my password”…

option 2: make new administrator account.

It’d be an extreme circumstance for someone passing and no one being able to at least give file access.

Looks like you can stick a fork in it, I’ve been trying to get to…

    http://wpmingle.com/forum/

(nothing comes up but the short code)

…for several days now and it’s gone, used the contact form on the site to let someone know several days ago to no avail.

16,493 registered users and not one peep on the web about their forum being down, except for this post.

doubt I could find the cure for my issue there anyways.

which is, when someone edits a comment WordPress ignores the local Mingle avatar and grabs a Gravatar. didn’t used to do that and now it’s batting a thousand.

Might be time to unplug this plugin.
