This is probably cause by the fact is RTL.
Can you let me know what theme are you using so I can try to replicate this situation?

One more question please. Is it possible to close the mobile, menu not by pressing the x symbol but by pressing anywhere else on the page – outside the menu area?

Regarding the RTL issue, can you replace the current mobmenu.css located at plugins/mobile-menu/css by this file attached?
