I’ve not heard any trouble with this working in Multisite myself. Could I ask, does the plugin work just fine with the parent theme in Multisite use?
If so, I can’t really imagine the child theme working differently.
Could you elaborate more on what isn’t working exactly?

Yeah it does work well on the parent theme. Basically the entire widget backend show up in the network sub site. I can assign sidebars per post or override defaults but nothing ever changes on the front-end.
I am not sure how best to even get help – since it isn’t throwing any errors – it just does nothing.
Any tips would be welcome : )
