WP not showing static code

I’m using the Silver Light template. When I add static html code to page.php, it does not display when viewed.

It is just a div with some images and text. I tried using Sticky plugin, and that does work, but I would like to just add the content to the page so it does not show up as a post.

Is there any code that I can use that will tell WP to not strip it from displaying the content?

Any help would be appreciated.
