WP-PostRatings plugin is useless after Google Update?

Hi! As we already know Google announced that the display of rich results reviews will be limited. And ARTICLE schema which is used by the plugin is no longer supported.
So the plugin becomes useless as I understand?

The plugin still works as a rating system if you need it. Just that the rich snippets is no longer supported.

I changed wp-postratings.php
