I installed the wp-staging plug-in and cloned my live site. However, I noticed that when I make any modification on staging it’s changed automatically to the live site without doing any push to prod. Beyond that when I open the staging site I can not see the orange bar that indicates you’re in the stage environment.

I don’t understand why is this happening. Anyone could tell me how can I solve this issue?

    *My plug-in is not pro.

I appreciate your help on this subject.

    Hi @marcelomosquera,

The staging site uses a different directory and database tables. Therefore, it can’t affect the production/live site.

I see the staging https://blog.viatripviagens.com.br/blog/ is publicly available, and the WP Staging plugin is not active on it. As a result, you don’t see the orange bar. Additionally, you probably didn’t check the URL before making changes on the production/live site.

Please reactivate the WP Staging plugin on the staging site, then you won’t face any issues.

If the issue persists, fill out this form to open a free support ticket. Please include the system information and debug logs for a better resolution.

Hi, Mr. Fayyaz, thank you for your assistance,

However, as you can see on the screenshot, the WP-Staging is actived.

I also reinstalled the plug-in to check its funcionality, but no success. I mean, simply the wp-staging really does affect the live site. It shouldn’t happen.

Each modofication you do through staging environment, it replies to prod.

Follow the step-by-step I used to start using the wp-staging:

    1. I installed the latest version (3.5.0) of wp-staging
    2. I actived it
    3. Then I started cloning the site
    4. After complete cloning the site, when I access the staging site, I don’t see the orange bar, and all modification on staging is did automaticaly on live site. I don’t understand why it’s happening.

If you could help me, I appreciate that!

    Thanks in advance!
