WP- Staging DNS Question

    Hi

    I have built a site in wp staging – just before I go live I am about to swtich hosting providers – The new hosting company have migrated the existing site over and all I have to do now is update the DNS records for my domain – my question is – will this migration have also pulled across the wp-staging plugin and inturn my staging site? I am moving to hostgator as that is where all other websites are stored.

    I am sorry but I an not answer that question because I do not know how your hosting provider migrated and moved your site.

    The folder of the staging site including the entire database with all tables prefixed with wpstgX_ must be copied over to the new host. If there are any changes in the crdedentials to the database this must be applied to the wp-config.php of the staging site, as well. Then the staging site should be working on your new host as well.
