First of all, thenk you for creating this wonderful plugin!

Now I have a question. I recently moved my site from a subdirectory to my domain root directory. The pages I have created earlier work fine, but the WP tiles settings page is all messed up, and it actually overlays itself in post/page edit windows. In order to edit any post or page I need to disable the plugin. I suspect it has something to do with database values written when the plugin was first installed, because deleting the plugin and installing it again does not solve the issue.

Here a screenshot of how my page editor looks now with the plugin activated:

And one of WP Tiles settings window:

Anything I can do to correct this, other than reconstructing the site form scratch ?

Thank you in advance for any help with this issue.

    Hi @brhplus,

Sorry for the late response. I have not seen this issue before! Unfortunately, your screenshots won’t load for me, could you maybe send them again?

WP Tiles uses the Vafpress framework for rendering the options pages, and I have also not seen the issue come up there either.

The only thing I can think of is a conflict with another plugin or perhaps your theme.

Please send through the screenshots again, then I can have a look next week to figure out what is happening here!

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hello Mike,

thanks for your response. I have uploaded the screenshots again at the same links, provided above. I took them down earlier, because yesterday I managed to solve the problem. It seems the plugin broke because of redirecting site traffic to a subfolder on my FTP. When the main domain address is redirected to a subfolder in cPanel, the plugin brakes even on a clean installation of wordpress on a clean database.

I had to change the structure of folders, reconfigure wordpress URL and site adresses to match it, and move the index.php out of the main wordpress folder, making suitable changes in it, so all the paths match, and it works now.

The starngest thing was, when broken, WP tiles corrupted page and post edit pages in WP… But anyway, all is fine now.

    Thanks again.

    Hi brhplus!

Thanks for letting me know what the problem was and sending through the screenshots again. It looks like something is wrong in the styles and scripts loading from a subdirectory install. I’ll investigate!

    Mike
