wp ui excerp doesnt work

i change the value of excerp of the post option but that didnt work
i’m using this code too on the page

but nothing change, i just wanna show a little discripcion of the post not all post. the wierd thing is just one post show’s all the content
im using a demo page just to learn how works this plugin
