WP update broke plug-in

Hello, my site, just launched today (!) automatically updated to WordPress 6.2.1 and now the metaslider plugin is not working. Rather than seeing the slideshow, I see the shortcode. If I go into the backend, I see the slideshow. It is only on the public frontend that I see the short code.

I check the site health, everything looks to be in order.

Any thoughts?

Another plugin, WPForms, is doing the exact same thing. I see the form in the backend, but the shortcode in the frontend.

Hi @alpineer

Thanks for using MetaSlider. If this shortcode issue is happening for more than one plugin, it may be an issue that is broader than MetaSlider.

We have a troubleshooting guide: https://www.metaslider.com/docs/troubleshooting/

You may want to consider rolling back this core update, at least as a test: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/core-rollback/

I tried using Core Rollback. The next previous version was 6.1.2. I rolled back to that, but the issue was not resolved. I still see the shortcodes for MetaSlider on the frontend, while I see the slideshow in the back end. It shows I am using 6.1.2.

Is there something I am missing? Thanks for any help.

I’m closing this ticket as it’s not really a MetaSlider solution, but needs a more general fix.
