WP version matching between export and import

    Hi,

    I have a wpress file someone else made a while back and I’m trying to import it to a new WP installation. The operation is stuck on “preparing the import” for hours. I read somewhere that it’s due to a mismatch between the WP versions.

    Question: How can I figure out which WP version did the export in the first place? I managed to extract all the files from the wpress file using a script from Github but I’m not sure where to look (since I don’t think the plugin backs up any core WP files).

    EDIT: I tried with 4.6 and it worked. But I think it would be a good idea to add the version of WP in the name of the wpress file being exported.
