WP3.6 embed tag

G’day all, I have used the tag

[embed]
http://www.youtube.com/v/40kNATWXpw4
[/embed]

but it only provides the link and will apparently not permit attributes such as “_target”. Is there a work around or suitable embed Objects plug-in available please?
