Hi, I’ll try and give as much detail as possible for you but let me know if you need anything more.

    WP version – 6.1.1

    PHP version – 8.0.26

    Event manager version – 6.2.1

When I upgraded to PHP 8 I started getting the following error on pages displaying our events

Debugging in WordPressfor more information. (This message was added in version 6.1.0.) in /customers/1/6/a/shoasis.co.uk/httpd.www/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5835 Notice: Function WP_Object_Cache::set was calledincorrectly. Cache key must be integer or non-empty string, NULL given. Please see

I have done the following but it hasn’t resolved the issue.

    1. Run site in WP safe mode – error persisted
    2. Have the most up to date version of event manager
    3. Searched the forums and can’t find any posts with similar issues.

Any help with next steps or resolutions would be greatly appreciated

I have not experienced this yet, I will check on this

I was getting this in debug mode in a brand new local MAMP install with PHP 8 (then 7.4) and EM 6.3. Warning persisted in troubleshooting mode with all other plugins off. Was able to resolve by enabling Memcached, then adding the “Object Cache 4 everyone” plugin. A separate staging site was not affected as already had Memcached enabled. Hope this helps.

@peterbp Thanks for the response, a lot of what you was kinda alien to me. I’ve looked at enabling Memcached and it looks like I need to my hosting provider about allowing it. I’m not sure what why ment by adding the Object cache for everyone though. Is that something I’ll need to do in wp?
