wp_remote_post() failed

The checkout page will spin and spin, but only sometimes. Is this a woocommerce problem when I see that there is this failure in the woocommerce status page?

I went through the link for troubleshooting guidelines and followed it as much as I could. I added “add_filter( ‘woocommerce_defer_transactional_emails’, ‘__return_true’ );” to the child theme functions.php file too. If there were a conflict with theme and plugins, wouldn’t it always occur?

I provided the status report to the server tech support and they said that the server was not causing the error and I should check with woocommerce support.

500 errors are usually caused by PHP fatal errors, which are obfuscated by WordPress. Search through your server’s error logs to find the exact error and script location; it is often caused by customizations or plugins which are referencing a deprecated class/function.
Please go on and enable debug logging in WordPress. To do that, edit the wp-config.php file in the root folder of the site on the server. Here’s more information on debugging in WordPress:
