WPDiscuz and Recent Posts Widget

Hi, Great plugin, thank you. Have a quick quest please. When I added the plugin, it stopped posts in the “recent posts” widget from going directly to outbound links. It now always goes to an interrupt page. I’m hoping to avoid the interrupt page with posts that have no content other than an outbound link. Is that possible?

I’m sorry but I didn’t follow you. Please try to explain again with screenshots and direct URL to that page where we can find the widget.

Sure thing. Here goes take two, less confusion, I hope. This is all on PressCalifornia.com.

Most of my posts go directly to an outbound link. When they are on the regular home page, people can click on one of two things. Either A) the headline, which takes them directly to the outbound link or B), the comment section.

New posts also go into the Recent Post widget, which I parked and hid for now at the bottom because of this glitch.

As you can see, there is no longer the choice to click on both the headline and the comments. Instead, the headline click goes to a redirect page.

My goal is to make all recent posts automatically go the outbound link if there is one.

Does that make sense? Any feedback would be most appreciated.

I think this has no any relation to wpDiscuz plugin. wpDiscuz plugin doesn’t have any function which may affect the recent posts widget. We found an extra URL parts in your post URLs:

https :// presscalifornia.com?wpd_redirect=1&pid=40027

I think you have some plugin, or some function in the theme which adds this URL part and generates the issue. I found this support topic which recommends disabled WP-Drudge Click Tracking plug-in: https://theproperweb.com/support/topic/on-posted-link-mouse-rollover-show-url-of-destination-not-wpd_redirect/

I appreciate your reply. Tried the suggestion, thank you, to no avail. No doubt your plugin is not the root cause, but this issue started the moment I added it. Might you suggest, and I understand if you don’t know, some robust WP Recent Posts plugins that you have worked with well? My stock one may not be up for it.
