WPEngine Settings For Advanced Network

Are there any settings that work with WPEngine’s Advanced Network? It seems that their Advanced Network controls how next gen images are served. That configuration is set and there is no changing it. However, when I run Google Pagespeed, almost every image is red-flagged as not being served in a nextgen format, even though WPEngine claims that it is. So the results are negative by Google’s standards.
While I can do a bulk conversion, I’m not sure how else this plugin is advantageous since I can’t use majority of the settings. But I would appreciate some insight.

After setting up the plugin, ask support to enable WebP support for your site in Nginx.
Make sure to clear all caches and voilá… it works.
