We are using QuantCast Choice as our Consent Management Platform, which requires us to insert code into the <header> of our WP site. The code insertion to the <header> area went fine, using WPCode snippet and overwriting the WPFence’s warning. Nevertheless, QuantCast never received any data from our end. Our other sites using the QuantCast CMP, WITHOUT WPFence, all worked. How to check the log that may contain the possible blocking?

Hi @maplewarrior, thanks for reaching out.

You can identify and confirm any blocks by observing the records in your Live Traffic page (more info via that link). When clicking any block line (or “eye” icon) to expand it, it will state the reason in red text. Sometimes brute force/rate limiting settings, or others can be too strict. Other times, you may see why the firewall decided to block if it wasn’t caused by your own settings.

Sometimes an “ADD PARAM TO FIREWALL ALLOWLIST” button appears in this section which you can click to allow these types of request in future.

Also, Learning Mode can help allow normal operations if they’re being blocked. From the Wordfence Dashboard click on Manage WAF. Then you will see Basic Firewall Options > Web Application Firewall Status. Change the option to Learning Mode. You could wait for QuantCast to attempt to retrieve data from your site to teach Wordfence these are normal operations and should be allowed in future. After you are satisfied some data has come through, switch the WAF from Learning Mode back to Enabled and Protecting.

    Thanks,
    Peter.
