We already support WP Forms. You simply have to create a Workflow as instructed in the article and contacts will automatically be synced to Email Subscribers on every form submission using WP Forms.
It is a two step process and you don’t need any additional settings. After you create the Workflow, you can use the WP Forms’ form, however you want and the basic contact details on every form submission will automatically be imported to Email Subscribers.

I’m sorry! I forgot to add that the triggers required for form integration are available with subscription plans starting from Email Subscribers Starter.

Thanks for the update re needing triggers.
I don’t know where to find the triggers (I do have a lifetime plan already bought).
