Hi rolfhuiber,
We don’t have any way to reply to a user within our plugin, however there might be ways to do this pretty easily from right within your email provider.
For example, I sometimes use canned responses in Gmail / G Suite. This comes built right in, you just have to enable it:
1) Log into your email inbox, then click the gear near the upper right corner.
2) Click the Settings option.
3) Go to the Advanced tab.
4) Look for the setting named “Canned Responses (Templates)” and enable it (here’s a screenshot).
5) To set up canned responses, go to Step 2 of this tutorial and follow those steps.
If you use a different email provider, it feels likely there’s either a similar built in setting or some sort of addon/extension that you could use.
I apologize as we won’t be able to help further with this (since it’s not part of our plugin), but I hope these details are helpful!
Last, since you’ve mentioned entry storage features it sounds like you have one of our paid licenses. This means that you have access to our private (and faster) support 🙂 If you have any additional questions, could you please get in touch over on our website?
Thanks! 🙂
Thanks Jess,
At the moment we are investigating forms. So it was a pre-sale question. Noticed the contact option for pre-sale on your website.
I like to put pre-sale questions here, as when not provided by the plugin, others maybe have ideas. And at the end others learn about answers given here.
Thx for giving the Canned Response idea. It will move us away (using a workflow in G-Suite (which we have)) from having the entries dashboard to answer and having a history with the customer in WordPress.
Reply Feature:
Your entries dashboard I like but missing a reply option. From within the entry detail, having a select box for prepared answers, maybe the possibility to edit (HTML like editor), and a reply button. Templates can be made similar like your Confirmations.
Hi rolfhuiber,
Currently we don’t have the feature to reply users within Entries page of WPForms. I’ve made a note of the feature request and we’ll keep it on our radar as we plan out our roadmap for the future.
Thank you for the suggestion 🙂
