WPGPlus conflicts with WooCommerce plugin

    After extensive testing as to why my e-commerce shop using WooCommerce wouldn’t work, I figured out there is a conflict with a plugin. After even more testing I narrowed it down to WPGPlus. If I deactivate just this plugin then WooCommerce works as it is suppose to. However, if WPGPlus is activated then when you have a product in your shopping cart and try to checkout, it never completes. Upon selecting your form of payment and clicking on Place Order, it merely reloads the page and places a 0 (zero) on the page?!

    Not sure what’s going on here put I definitely need WooCommerce more than I need the connivence of being able to cross post to Google plus.

    I’ll also alert the WooCommerce folks to this problem.

    Just happened to run across your post, glad I saw this. Just test and I’m having the same issue. When I click the Place Order it should redirect to PayPal however it stayed on my page and added a ‘0’ right below the status message.

    If you figure this out I would like to know a fix. I was hoping to use this plugin to notify Google Plus Page about new Products that have been added to the store.

    Hopefully there is a fix.

    Never found an answer, I just eliminated WGPLus from my plugins since the WooCommerce is much more important.

    Do you use any other plugin in its place?

    I’m looking for something that will post to Google Plus/Twitter/Facebook when I add a new product to the store. Is there anything out there like that?

    Not that I’m aware of, but then I never really looked for a replacement/alternative. It’s a pain but I just manually post to Google plus.

    Sorry to say it but the current state of WPGPlus is not recommended for use. (I say that as its developer).

    Google has not published a writeable API for G+, so instead WPGPlus has to emulate a mobile user and log in as though it were a person – that interface is very brittle and prone to breaking when Google changes things, or users change authentication, or enable two-factor auth, etc.

    It’s also different for G+ users in different countries, as the login sequence and cookies required are different.

    In other words, it would be very hard to keep up with those changes and I’ve not had the time.

    I know of no other plugin that does this – likely for exactly that reason.

    Anyone interested in doing so? Patches welcome. 😉

    I do hope to get some time to pick it up again this summer, but we’ll see.
