    Hello,

Does the support for the plugin still exist or not? We already raised a query regarding the same issue, but we didn’t hear back from you.

We are using the WPML plugin and this XML sitemap plugin on our website. We are using the subdirectory URL structure for our WPML work. This plugin (XML Sitemap Generator for Google) is not compatible with WPML. Why is it not compatible with WPML like other normal sitemap plugins? We were using Yoast for the generation of the sitemap, and when we saw the features of this XML Sitemap Generator for Google plugin, we switched to this plugin to get more features like instant pings and all, but that led to a problem for us. The multilingual pages are not properly listed in the sitemap. All the URLs listed in the sitemap have English slugs, but normally, after the conversion of a post or page using WPML, the URL will also translate the URL to its corresponding language. This is perfectly working on the WPML side, but it is not displaying on the sitemap. The sitemap only shows the URLs with English slugs, and that issue will lead to a 301 redirect issue. Currently, we have more than 3000 page redirect issues, and they are increasing day by day. Somehow, we need to fix this issue. Either we need to find a solution or we need to change the plugin to a better one.

What’s your opinion on this? Will there be any fix for this issue? How can we resolve this issue? At least, can we stop showing multilingual pages and posts in the sitemap? Please let us know your feedback.

    Hi,

Will there be any solution for this? It’s been more than a month since we raised the issue, and we didn’t get any reply back. We checked the temporary solution provided by the WPML team, and it did not work either. We raised the same issue on WPML, and they are saying some other users are also facing this issue, and that’s why they are giving a temporary fix.

    Temporary fix:- https://wpml.org/errata/google-xml-sitemaps-wrong-urls-in-sitemaps-when-language-are-in-directories/

Since you don’t have any time to fix the issue, is there any way to remove the translated posts from the sitemap? We just need the English version of the sitemap; we don’t want to include any other languages that we created using WPML because this plugin is causing redirect issues with other languages, as I mentioned in the ticket.

Either you guys fix the issue ASAP or give a temporary solution until the issue is fixed.

    Thank you

Thanks for your concern @vimalroy08. Historically, we have not supported WPML in our community (free) edition, however recent releases have improved compatibility.
