before coming here i tried many configurations, my setup is wordpress 4.0 with latest event manager and latest WPML plugin.

i have some strange issues, some links to events works, others don’t
i think i tried pretty much everything i could find on this forum and others about problems between wpml and event manager but none of the problems is exactly my problem hence the solutions can’t be neither.

    what i want :

Events can be submitted in any languages, i don’t care.
i don’t want them translated and ideally i don’t want them even to be translatable.

Events should appear on 1 map, i don’t want to see each language with it’s own map (this happen if i install event manager WPML addon)

no matter in witch language an event is submitted, if there is no translations of this item it should show the event, no matter what language it was submitted in.

but instead what i have is this :
    http://www.stop-ttip-ceta-tisa.eu/en/actions-2/find-an-action-near-you/

there i have links like this : http://www.stop-ttip-ceta-tisa.eu/actions/tratado-transatlanico-ttip-el-capitalismo-fuera-de-control/

    or like this http://www.stop-ttip-ceta-tisa.eu/en/actions/public-workshop/

    or like this http://www.stop-ttip-ceta-tisa.eu/actions/actividades-en-granada-espana-para-denunciar-el-ttip-ruedas-de-prensa-condferencias-y-manifestacion-dia-11-oct/

notice how events in spanish don’t have any /es/ before /actions/

and how english events do have, guess witch one is not working?
    the spanish events.

but just below on this list i have this : http://www.stop-ttip-ceta-tisa.eu/es/actions-es/campanya-catalunya-no-al-ttip/

notice /es/ and the fact that the link work

so it seems the events got submitted at different moment, from different language front end, while i had different settings on the permalink or on the wpml plugin or on the event manager.

i don’t understand nothing anymore. none of the combinations of advice I read here and elsewhere on the web can lead me to a solution of these problems.

if i Export all the events from Tools/Export i can get a nice backup of all my events, if i look inside this XML document, i can see that each permalink of each event is different. look at the XML import here : stop-ttip-ceta-tisa.eu/events/stopttipcetatisa.wordpress.2014-10-02.xml

so i went into the wpml config and ticked the option to translate event manager. i also checked the option to give a different slug to each event/language page. does not seem to help

If i don’t enable translation of the event manager is even worst, all event links don’t work in other languages and give error 404

i have considered to erase all the 160+ events and import them back after correcting the XML backup above manually so that all events have the same structure and point to the correct event page.
but i’m pretty sure there must be a reason, logic, behind all this
the only problem is i’m not getting it.

hence i come here hoping someone, somewhere can shine a light on me
and help me get this website ready soon as possible.
