Write Post problems after upgrading to 2.1

I just upgraded to version 2.1 and I’m having problems with Write Posts. (I’m using WinXP, Firefox 2.0.0.1, and I also tried it in IE 7 and had the same probs with it.)

Under Users > Your Profile, I do have the box checked for “Use the visual editor when writing” and Javascript is enabled in my browsers.

However when I updated from v2 to 2.1, I lost my toolbar on my visual text editor. When I click the “Write” tab, it comes up with a blank post and the “Visual” tab is selected. However, there’s no buttons (for bold, italic, insert link, etc.) as there used to be. If I add a photo by using the “Upload” tab below that, and then I send it to the editor — it displays the HTML for the image rather than the visual representation even though it’s on the visual tag.

Also… if I click the “Write” tab to write a new post and it loads a blank post — then I click the “Code” tab”, the text area for the post just goes white and disappears and I can no longer type at all — if I click the “Visual” tab to switch back, the textbox is still gone and I have to reload the entire page.

Here’s what happens if I’m using the “Visual” write post and click to add a picture from the upload tool below it — it inserts the CODE for the image rather than the actual image (like v2 did before I upgraded…?)

And here’s what happens if I click code — the textbox where you type totally disappears. Click all you want, it’s not there. If I click to switch back to the visual editor, it’s STILL not there and I have to reload the whole page and I lose anything that I’ve typed so far:
