If your theme supports it, the plugin automatically sets the submitted user name as the post author. You can check the setting, “Disable Replace Author”, and make sure that it is not enabled.

There’s a setting under Users, that says ‘Assigned Author’. This author name is the one displayed in the published post. Disable Replace Author option set as disabled as you advised.
I checked the post from the back-end, the author is perfectly fine there. And the plugin has taken the submitted user’s name as it should.
What could be the issue?

Note that the posts are aimed at pro users, but the basic info applies to the free version as well.
