Hi,
thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.
Can you please provide more details about how you import the table (i.e. what file format, source, etc.)?
Usually, this is related to issues with the character encoding, where the source file is not in UTF-8 encoding.
Regards,
Tobias
Hi Tobias,
Thanks for your fast respond!
I import an xls file from my Dropbox directory – see screendump of the settings in TablePress:

John
I send you the link via e-mail as I couldn’t do it here …
Sorry, just use the link in my name 🙂
Hi,
thanks for the details! This might then be caused by using the Excel format. Unfortunately, that’s not very robust when used for the import.
Can you maybe try again with a CSV file that you export from Excel?

Tobias
Hi,
It works with csv. But it has worked fine with Excel untill recently…?
Thanks for your support!
Regards
John
Hi John,
that’s good to hear! I’m not sure that it ever worked with Excel as there have always been similar limitations.
I suggest to simply use CSV where possible, it’s the most reliable.
Best wishes,
Tobias
P.S.: In case you haven’t, please rate TablePress here in the plugin directory. Thanks!
